Audiophile Light Bulb?
The listed freq response is about the same as I hear in some “high end” systems.
So it might be the way to go… (LOL)

Music Server Power
Would a $2000 power cable improve the sound of a music server?
You got me.
But at had fun today hooking one of my (excellent) Verstarr Grand Illusion cables into one of my company’s security appliances.
Web traffic has never flowed smoother here!

BAAS Member to Sell $99 Hanger
BAAS member DougOlsen has a unique item for sale on Audiogon.
A hanger. Yes, a dry-cleaner’s clothes hanger.
Cleverly marketed as a ‘cable puller’ and conservatively priced at $99 ($250 list), the device should appeal to tweakers everywhere.
Yes, humor is alive & well in the East Bay….
The ad is a joke.

Lang Lang Plays iPad at SF Davies Hall
Virtuoso pianist Lang Lang stunned SF’s Davies by whipping out an iPad and playing “Flight of the Bumblebees.” Video here.
The software powering the performance was Magic Piano from Smule.
I wish I had been there…makes me want an iPad too!

You’ve heard of audiophile cable break-in devices…
…how about automated violin break-in devices?
Who will be the first audiophile to apply this gear to a speaker cabinet?
(Cable break-in cookers are, of course, still available – starting at $800.)

The Beatles Get “BlueBeaten”
The intrepid entrepreneur behind the BlueBeat web site just lost his court case.
[The web site is down at the time of writing.]
You see, he had been using what he called “psycho-acoustic simulation” to create recordings that sound identical to those of the Fab Four. The tale is told in excruciating detail by the good folks at ARS Technica.
Read about it and decide for yourself!
